Directions to Dermatology clinic:

It is near the junction of Hwy 55 and 494. From ANW go East on E. 28th St to Hiawatha/Hwy 55 and take a left (NW) to I-94 West. Take I-94 to I-394 W to 169 N. Take 169 to Olson Memorial Hwy/Hwy 55 W and it is just before 494. Take Olson Memorial Hwy/Hwy 55 for about 3.3 miles and turn right onto Northwest Blvd (just before I-494. Take an immediate left onto Campus Dr and West Health is a couple blocks down on the left.

 

Reach the COC clinic from the hospital as follows:
1. Go north on 10th ave on the east side of the hospital and go one block to 26th St. Take 26th St. west (one way) to Portland. Turn left (south) on Portland and go to 31st street. Turn right and 31st St. and go a few blocks and enter 35W South. After 35W S merges with the Crosstown (62), stay to the right and continue west on 62 until you come to highway 169 south. Take this south for a few miles to Valley View Road. After the exit ramp, turn left and cross the highway and then turn right onto the Frontage Road. In a short while this will take you to the clinic. Park anywhere in the surface lot. The clinic is the first clinic on the first floor (Suite 100).

 

Dermatology experiences: After Grand Rounds on Wednesday morning you will spend time with Dr. Callies in the ANW Resident Clinic reviewing dermatology nomenclature and practicing dermatologic procedures on simulated models.  All day Monday and Thursday will be spent working with Dr. Ecker at his Dermatology clinic at West Health in Plymouth.

 Resident continuity clinic: Tuesday AM, a three week minimum notice, given to Anne is required if you are planning on taking vacation time.

Performance Expectations:

The resident will be expected to attend dermatology tutorials with Dr. Callies and do the required reading. 

The resident will also be expected to attend Dr. Ecker’s clinic all day on Monday and Thursday. Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon and all day Friday will be spent at the ANGMA COC clinic. The resident needs to give the ANGMA COC clinic at least 2 days notice if they will not be at clinic.
