G3 CARDIOLOGY ROTATION

Contact: Dr. James Daniel @ 612-863-3900

Cardiology clinic: with weekly cardiologist at his or her scheduled clinic (0.5-1 day per week)

Resident continuity clinic: Thursday PM, a three week minimum notice, given to Anne is required if you are planning on taking vacation time.

Residents should communicate PTO plans to the staff cardiologist with ample notice, avoiding “next day” vacation days unless unexpected or ill.

Cardiology conference: 0700 Monday AM Watson Room except cancelled during summer (June – August)

 Performance Expectations:

Residents will be assigned to one cardiologist each week on rotation. Hospital consults and clinic consults will be performed, staffed, and entered into Excellian with appropriate language by the resident. The resident is expected to perform up to four hospital consults per day and follow up visits and notes on patients they have seen previously.  Let Dr. Daniel know if there is a particular area of cardiology on which you would like to focus more time.  Spending a week at the COC cardiology clinic is a good option also.
